How to enjoy the Dax Feria?

Every summer, Dax is completely transformed for its famous Feria.

For five days, the town pulsates to the rhythm of brass bands, concerts, shows, and Landes traditions in a festive atmosphere that has become a must-see in Southwest France.

From August 12 to 16, 2026, thousands of revelers are expected to enjoy one of the most popular Ferias in France.

Immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of the Dax festivities

The Dax Feria draws its origins from the bullfighting and festive traditions of Southwest France.

For five days, the entire town comes alive with brass band parades, open-air concerts, street performances, and popular entertainment.

The bullring also hosts bullfights, Landes-style bull races, and equestrian shows, which are an integral part of the event's cultural identity.

As evening falls, the streets fill with music and excitement until late into the night, in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere typical of the festivals of Southwest France.

How do you prepare for the Dax Feria?

The Feria attracts a huge number of visitors every year. It's best to plan your trip and book your accommodation and restaurant in Dax in advance.

Also, check the official program to find out about the concerts, activities, and shows not to be missed.

Bring plenty of water and comfortable shoes: essential for fully enjoying the festivities and the many walks around the city center!

Adopt the festival-goers' dress code

To fully experience the festival, you can't miss the traditional attire: white clothing and a red scarf.

This iconic dress code symbolizes the festive spirit and the respect among festival-goers.

Comfortable and lightweight, these clothes are also perfect for enjoying the long summer evenings in Dax.
